Ordinary sealants can trap moisture against the surface of the material during application, but CorrosionX is formulated in such a way that it is able to displace moisture. Therefore, when it is applied to an object, it actually replaces the water on the surface and stops the corrosion process. It simultaneously forms a seal to protect future water intrusion. It meets the US Navy’s requirements for corrosion inhibitor and water displacement (MIL-PRF-8109F).
